krobbler and dangerdane asked “Have you exceeded 70,000 feet and how does it handle at those altitudes?” and “What’s the highest altitude you’ve been to?”
I’m going to start answering some of the questions posed in #askextremeross. There were quite a few so be patient as I answer each one. Expect a few per week. I’ll let you know by replying to your comment to know when to expect your answer. Some will be brief with a much more in depth answer on my webpage. I’ll let you know if that’s the case. Feel free to ask further questions. @dangerdane asked the highest altitude I’ve been to. Due to classification issues, it’s touchy to give an exact altitude. But what I can say is that this photo (composite of 3 photos merged) is a picture taken from the highest that I have ever personally been. Much of northern California is in view. And that is a thunderstorm in the center, looking down at the top of it around 35,000 feet. Don’t worry @krobbler, I’ll have a whole website story coming up that discusses the handling at altitude (with nifty videos).
