Great question! While it is extremely rare to have any kind of actual weather (a thunderstorm in the tropics can climb into the 60’s and 70’s) what we do have on occasion is high altitude turbulence. Small changes in density at those altitudes can make the mach number swing rapidly and the aircraft autopilot has a hard time keeping up or it overcompensates. This clip is a night timelapse I did as a practice. You can see the bouncing around. It was a rough night and didn’t make for the best time lapse conditions. Thansk again for everyone being patient. There were lots of questions and I’m working my way through them while getting my new website set up. Thanks for reading and keep sharing these.
